Tens of thousands of New Jersey residents were still without power five days after Tropical Storm Isaias hit the region.

Many of the 40,000 residents in the dark were not expected to have power restored until Tuesday night -- right in the middle of a three-day heatwave.

As crews work 24/7 restoring power to those affected by #Isaias, they're also restoring power from new damage caused by this week's t-storms. Pls note, reflects all customers w/out service, including those related to Isaias, the later storms+other causes.

Snoop Dogg To Hand Out Free Turkeys To Inglewood Residents Monday At SoFi Stadium

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA) – Hundreds of families in need will receive free Thanksgiving meals Monday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, and some may catch a glimpse of hip hop legend Snoop Dogg in the process.

2,500 Inglewood residents are being given a turkey and all the trimmings during a drive-thru event at the home of the L.A. Chargers and Rams.

The event is taking place in the parking lot of the stadium. Snoop Dogg and Inglewood Mayor James Butts will be on hand. Snoop Dogg often partners with cities in the South Bay to host Thanksgiving giveaways.

The turkeys and sides are courtesy of Don Lee Farms, the L.A. Regional Food Bank, Pepsi and Frito-Lay.

The drive-thru event is taking place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families were required to preregister.
