After months of speculations, the actor and his team have decided to release the movie on November 9 on Disney+ Hotstar. The film will mark Akshay’s big Diwali release and keeping in mind, its title, the occasion couldn’t be any better.Earlier, there were rumours about the film releasing on Akshay Kumar’s birthday (September 9). Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of Tamil hit, Kanchana that starred Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. The actor was also approached to direct Akshay Kumar’s remake. The film also stars Kiara Advani in the lead and would mark her first attempt in the horror-comedy genre, the second being Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kartik Aaryan. Recently we heard stories if Akshay is sceptical about releasing his movie online. The actor, however, ended all these baseless rumours by officially announcing its release date. Laxmmi Bomb would be Disney+ Hotstar’s fourth big release after Dil Bechara, Sadak 2 and Khuda Haafiz. The announcement was made on a big scale when the OTT platform roped in all the biggies to officially come on board with their even bigger projects. Now, the only release pending to have a release date is Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India.

Downton Abbey’s Jim Carter confirms the second movie will start filming next year – and he’s seen the script
DOWNTON Abbey's Jim Carter has confirmed the second film is going ahead.
The actor revealed the good news today during an appearance on This Morning and said he has even seen the script for the hotly anticipated follow-up.8Downton Abbey will be back on the silver screen next year
Jim, who played butler Mr Carson in the TV series and first film, was on the show to celebrate Downton's 10th anniversary.
Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby asked if there was any chance of a reunion happening.
That's when Jim dropped the bombshell.

He added: "The script for a second film is there, we've seen it.
"It's very funny, it's got all the same characters in, all the regular characters.
"I think the will is that, COVID-willing, we'll film it next year."
Jim then joked: "I don’t know if I can trust Phillip to keep this secret, but Holly, I know will."8He told Phil and Holly the makers hoped to film the new flick next year
As Phil started to probe him about the fate of some of the characters the actor's screen froze and they were forced to end the interview.
Downton fans were beside themselves at the news.
Taking to Twitter one wrote: "OMG. There’s going to be a Downton Abbey film sequel!"
While another added: "That’s great news about another #downtonabbey movie to be filmed next year."8Phil was beside himself with excitement at the news
And a third said: "Fab news! Possible Downton Abbey 2 to be filmed next year!"

"We are totally committed to making a sequel if we can bring all the elements back," producer Gareth Neame explained.
"During the course of this year, we will have a script and we will try to assemble all the actors again, you know, as soon as we can."
