Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, who played sisters in the beloved 1993 film Hocus Pocus, got together Monday for a brief Instagram PSA on the importance of voting.
"You guys, I just sent in my ballot and I was just checking to see if you voted yet," Najimy said in the video. The actress also said she texted VOTER to 26797 and the process couldn't have been easier.
Parker appealed to young voters, many of whom she said sat out the last election, about why they should make their voice heard this time around.
"It's a very big deal, this election, obviously," she said. "Part of me feels that, because so many young people felt disenfranchised in the last election — for whatever reason — my fervent hope is that those that sat out will decide that, even if a candidate can't get them to the exact destination point, the opportunity to get so much closer to where they know this country needs to be."© Bette Midler/Instagram Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, who played sisters in 1993's 'Hocus Pocus,' chanted spells for an important cause on Monday.
"I do think there is something we can do about it," Midler teased mischievously.
"No, we shouldn't," Najimy responded, with Parker adding, "Dare we?"
The three then break into chanting a spell, as their characters did in the Halloween movie, but instead of trying to suck the soul out of kids like the Sandersons, they're using their magic to "make them vote."
Last week, Midler revealed the first behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Hocus Pocus reunion special, featuring her, Najimy, and Parker in their characters' iconic costumes.
"Your 3 fav witches - @sarahjessicaparker @kathynajimy & ME - are returning for 1 night only on 10/30 at 8p ET!" Midler captioned the post. "'In Search of the Sanderson Sisters' is the best thing to happen to #Halloween since Hocus Pocus + Reeses Pieces!"
The virtual event, titled In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover, will reunite the three stars in a tribute to the 1993 film about the witchy, sisterly trio who return from the dead to terrorize a New England town.
Tickets for the 2020 Hulaween event are available now, with proceeds from the event going to benefit the New York Restoration Project's "dedication to creating more green space for underserved communities to grow their own food, connect, and access safe spaces directly in their neighborhood."

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson reacts to seeing himself blown up as fanny pack balloon in Thanksgiving parade
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been supersized.
The “Fast and Furious” franchise star couldn’t contain his excitement when he shared an image from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday that featured a gigantic blowup balloon of a younger “Rock” donning his signature fanny pack and famous high-top curls.
“This time in my life may represent when I had just $7bucks in my fanny pack, but at least I had enough COOL to tuck my turtleneck in and wear fake silver jewelry because it was all I could afford ????????????♂️,” Johnson wrote on Instagram, adding, “Never in my wildest dreams... I’ve been a lucky SOB to have done some pretty cool s--- in my career, but after seeing my @nbcyoungrock FANNY PACK FLOAT in the #MacysThanksgivingParade, this might take the cake.”
The large floatable was created in promotion for NBC’s upcoming series “Young Rock,” which is inspired by Johnson’s life.
The 48-year-old performer attended the University of Miami where he played football for the Hurricanes before parlaying that into a legendary career in the WWE and subsequently the big screen where he remains as Instagram’s most-followed American man.
Filming for the new series is currently underway in Queensland, Australia, and will reportedly see three different actors portray Johnson during various stages of his life.

Johnson paid tribute to his late father Rocky Johnson, with a photo of Joseph Lee Anderson portraying him onscreen in a behind-the-scenes social media post earlier this month.
“My dad suddenly passed away earlier this year,” Johnson captioned the photo taken on set. “Never had a chance to say goodbye to my old man, which really sucks – but as he always said, ‘Hey the show must go on’ and so it will.”

Johnson’s father died in January at age 75. Rocky Johnson also enjoyed a career as a WWE wrestler, beginning his career in the mid-1960s before retiring in 1991.
