CHRIS Evans says he's still feeling "wobbly and weak" and has to wear "adult nappies" after his surgery to remove kidney stones.
It comes after The Sun revealed earlier this month that the broadcaster, 54, was rushed to hospital in agonising pain.4Chris Evans returned to air this morning after his surgeryCredit: Dan Charity - The Sun
Chris originally thought that he had trapped wind, but an ultrasound and CT scans showed the presence of a large kidney stone.
Stand-in Virgin Radio Breakfast Show presenter Sam Pinkham held the fort whilst he recovered at home.
And after two weeks off air, the DJ returned earlier this morning and started off his segment by thanking his co-worker for all the support.
He told listeners on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show earlier today: “This is the Virgin Radio Show live from the top of the news tower...4The broadcaster thanked Sam Pinkham for stepping in during his absence on airCredit: EPA
"Thank you Sam for everything you did over the last couple of weeks, not just on the air but off the air as well – super supporter.
"He was very keen to see my grown-up nappies that I have been wearing and I have to say it's not a look, but it's a great vibe.
"I was going to keep a pair on for today and just pretended that I still needed them but I thought that would be very bad karma because I don't need them anymore.
"But it's been a bit of a journey, let me tell you.”.4Chris was also joined by his Mr Jeetesh BhardwaCredit: Dan Charity - The Sun
Chris was also joined by his urologist Mr Jeetesh Bhardwa to discuss what happened during surgery.
His surgeon asked him how he's been feeling since going under the knife, to which the radio presenter replied: "I feel really good. I still feel a bit wobbly and weak, is that to be expected?"
Mr Bhardwa reminded him that he had just undergone huge surgery to rectify a problem that is "the worst pain known to man".
He replied: "Kidney stones are not to be taken lightly... it's the smaller stones that come down the ureter and declare themselves that are painful.4Chris and wife NatashaCredit: Dan Charity - The Sun
What are kidney stones?
Kidney stones are common - affecting one in ten people.
They are usually made of calcium and oxalate, or calcium and phosphate and are found in the kidneys or in the ureter.
You can wee out smaller kidney stones, but larger ones have symptoms to look out for: pain in your abdomen, severe pain and feeling nauseous.
They typically affect people aged between 30-60.Most read in CelebrityCRASH LANDINGBachelor's Rachael cries after skydiving crash with Matt during hometown date'NOT RACIST'Rachael Kirkconnell's antebellum-themed party image explainedSpoilerOVER ALREADYBachelor Matt 'blindsided & DUMPED' winner as final four ladies remain on show'SCARED'Mama June fears she'll 'never see her kids again' as she faces drug charges'coming soon!'Teen Mom Catelynn is pregnant and expecting fourth child with husband Tyler'HORRIBLE'Teen Mom's Vee slammed for wanting to make kids clothes based on her podcast
"And it's the worst pain known to man. Sometimes the stones just stay in the kidney and they slowly grow for like a decade sometimes or some in five years.
"I have some patients waiting to have major surgery and their stool is like five centimetres and yours was 5mm.
"So you can just imagine the damage that's doing for the kidney.”

Michigan GOP Censures Fred Upton For Voting To Remove Marjorie Taylor Greene From Committee Spot
Republicans of Cass County, Michigan, censured Republican Rep. Fred Upton Tuesday for his vote to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia from the House Education Committee.
Upton voted to remove Greene from the committee for spreading QAnon conspiracy theories and for comments on school shootings, Upton said in a tweet. Republicans from his district condemned Upton’s decision calling his vote a “betrayal.”
“We believe Congressman Upton’s vote is a betrayal to his oath of office and core values of the Cass County Republican Party,” said the Cass County Republicans in the resolution, according to Detroit News.
Upton openly criticized the members of his district’s GOP for believing that Greene’s comments are acceptable.
“She taunted a Parkland school shooting survivor, argued that California wildfires were started by a Jewish space laser, accused Democratic politicians of running a pedophile ring out of a pizza parlor, and questioned whether 9/11 really happened,” Upton tweeted.

Greene said that the eleven Republicans who voted to remove her represented a “big betrayal,” Politico reported. She further revealed that her removal from the committee was good for both her and her constituents. (Related: Rep. Adam Kinzinger Says He Will Vote To Remove Rep. “If I was on the committee, I’d be wasting my time, because my conservative values wouldn’t be heard, and neither would my district’s,” Greene said at a news conference, according to Politico.
Upton met with school shooting survivors from Columbine and Sandy Hook since serving on the committee.
“I served on that committee and met with Columbine school shooting survivors. I have since met with Parkland and Sandy Hook School shooting survivors and heard all of their personal stories,” he tweeted. “She should not be on the education committee, and Congress was right to remove her, period.”
