Elon Musk takes apparent jab at 'puppet master' Jeff Bezos with 'mic drop' comment

Tesla CEO Elon Musk appeared to take a dig at fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos in a comment he provided to the Washington Post.
“Give my regards to your puppet master,” Musk told the Washington Post Tuesday when he was reached for comment for a piece titled "Elon Musk moved to Texas and embraced celebrity.
Can Tesla run on Autopilot?"Bezos is the owner of the Washington Post and has feuded with Musk in the past over their ambitions in space, as both billionaires own competing aerospace manufacturing companies.
In 2019, Bezos suggested that Musk’s aspiration to get humans on Mars with his company SpaceX was "unmotivating.”

"Go live on the top of Mount Everest for a year first and see if you like it because it's a garden paradise compared to Mars," Bezos said at the time.
Musk’s quip to the Washington Post was lauded by some on Twitter, who described the comment as Bezos getting “rekt” and a “drop mic” moment.

The pair of billionaires have also been battling for the title of richest person in the world, with Bezos unseating Musk on Tuesday.
