Reports say that the Dallas Mavericks are doing some initial work on a potential Kristaps Porzingis trade. With the trade deadline approaching, the Mavericks have reportedly reached out to the Golden State Warriors to determine if they are interested in making a trade to acquire the Latvian center.

The Mavericks have not performed to their full potential despite having star Luka Doncic as a part of their roster. They are currently sitting with a record of 14-15 in ninth place in the Western Conference. Being the other half to Doncic as the Mavs’ key to success, Porzingis has only been averaging 29.9 minutes per game.
Per Ian Begley of SNY, to maybe shake things up, the Mavericks inquired about the Warriors’ potential interest in their 7-foot-3 center. Porzingis is currently in his second season with the Mavs after being acquired in a trade with the New York Knicks back in 2019. However, his growth with the Mavericks has been rather slow due to the fact that he has acquired multiple injuries while on the roster.
Porzingis is averaging 20.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks, which is not that impressive compared to the rest of his career. He has only played in 17 games this season while he’s still attempting to recover fully from his injuries.

Acquiring Porzingis could be beneficial for the Warriors due to the multiple injuries of their roster’s bigs. With rookie James Wiseman still recovering from an injury, his size could help the Warriors’ frontline. Although, it is uncertain if the team would actually take a chance on the injury-prone player, in addition to All-Star Klay Thompson still recovering from his Achilles injury.
It is almost certain that Porzingis is a noteworthy player to add to any team’s roster. He is still very young at the age of 25 and still has room to grow. His time with the Mavericks has definitely had its highs and lows with his talent and injuries. He is two years into a five-year $158.2 million contract. If this trade to the Warriors were to happen, this would be Porzingus’ third team that he would be a part of during his tenure in the league.

Ohio State football: Potential landing spots for Justin Fields in 2021 NFL Draft

Justin Fields led Ohio State football to a National Championship Game appearance, so which teams in the 2021 NFL Draft could look for him to lead them?
Initially committed to Georgia, Justin Fields was spurned for the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback job after being used as a role player in his freshman season. That led to his transfer to the Ohio State football program where he immediately took the reins. He and the Buckeyes never looked back after that decision.
Over 14 games in the 2019 season, Fields threw for 3,273 yards with 41 touchdowns and only three interceptions while rushing for 10 touchdowns. The following year in the truncated campaign, Fields tossed 22 touchdowns with six picks and rushed for five scores while throwing for 2,100 yards in only eight games. Now he’s heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.
While most people still hold the belief that Fields is the second-best quarterback in the 2021 draft class behind Trevor Lawrence, some have begun to debate whether or not he’s QB3 behind BYU’s Zach Wilson. In any case, though, he has the athleticism, size, arm strength and overall skill set to be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.
So which teams could use a quarterback of that ilk and could end up landing Justin Fields in the 2021 NFL Draft? Let’s take a look at five possible destinations for the Ohio State football star.
Justin Fields 2021 NFL Draft landing spot No. 5: Chicago BearsIt was just four years ago that Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace pushed his chips to the center of the table to trade up one spot and select quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the No. 2 pick. That gamble, of course, ended up being a bust in the Windy City.
With Trubisky now out of the picture and after missing out on Matthew Stafford and Carson Wentz on the trade market, the Bears are left still looking for a replacement. Otherwise, they will be looking at a season in which Nick Foles is the starter. That’s not ideal for Chicago by any stretch.
Currently occupying the 20th overall pick, Justin Fields isn’t going to fall to the Bears. However, if Pace is desperate enough as he enters a season in which his job is on the line, he could make an aggressive move to trade up again and draft the Buckeyes star. Without question, he’d fill a massive void on the roster.
