Olivier Giroud’s bicycle kick goal for Chelsea FC will be shown for years and yearsThat’s one of the best goals we’ll see in the Champions League this year. Fans are comparing it to Ronaldo’s unreal goal for Real Madrid against Juventus back in 2018, which left his supporters across the world speechless.
For Giroud, he wasn’t able to celebrate his goal in style at the start, as it was ruled offsides by the linesman. However, VAR came to the rescue and it was determined that the play was legal and Giroud’s world-class goal was given.
This is a huge result for Chelsea, as the club is hoping to move on to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Tuesday’s 1-0 victory of course is massive, as Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid side was considered the favorite to move on between the two.
Now, Atletico Madrid has some work to do in the second leg if they want to advance to the next round. Chelsea is now in the driver’s seat and they have Giroud to thank for that. What a goal.

The president of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, even defended that the confinement should be kept until Easter for “a matter of prudence and security.”
