Iñaki Urdangarin will continue his sentence in the Zaballa prison, in Álava

Penitentiary Institutions have authorized Iñaki Urdangarin to serve the remainder of his sentence under semi-release in the open section of the Zaballa prison, in Álava, according to ABC and confirmed by Europa Press.

In this way, he will be able to enjoy the weekends off in Vitoria, where his mother lives, and will leave his job at the Hogar Don Orione in Pozuelo de Alarcón to start a new job that he has already found. In addition, in the Basque prison he will undergo the treatment program for economic offenders. – The judge grants the third degree to Iñaki Urdangarin SEE GALLERY Since January, when the Court of Penitentiary Surveillance number 1 of Castilla y León granted Iñaki Urdangarin the third degree of prison, the husband of the infanta Cristina only has to go back to sleep in the center insertion of Alcalá de Henares, something that will now be done in the open section of Zaballa. Until then, and in accordance with the principle of flexibility of article 100.2 of the penitentiary regulations, he had been allowed a more open regime thanks to which he could enjoy one leave per month to spend several days out of prison. In these past weekends, in which due to his new regime of semi-freedom he no longer had to return to Brieva prison and had three days off a week, we have seen him enjoy a day of shopping in Madrid with Cristina de Borbón-Dos Silicias, his wife’s cousin, and has also been able to take the opportunity to spend time with his son Pablo, who arrived this Friday in the capital from Barcelona to see him. Since September 2019, Iñaki Urdangarin has been doing his volunteer work at the Hogar Don Orione in Pozuelo de Alarcón, which was interrupted by confinement and later by an outbreak of covid-19 in the center. At the end of January, when leaving said facilities, he found two men who were waiting for him with the intention that the former athlete would sign an autograph and take photos with them. VIEW GALLERY In his first prison leave, in December 2019, Iñaki Urdangarin traveled to Vitoria to spend four days with his family, together with his wife, mother and children. They were seen walking, going to mass, having a drink in a cafeteria … always all together, in a relaxed and fun attitude. They held hands or hugged, apparently oblivious to the gazes of passersby. He only had time to enjoy a second weekend when the pandemic arrived and he lost the right to leave, also volunteering, until July 2020. Last Christmas he was able to spend again in the Basque Country and it was then when he learned that he would not have to return to Ávila and would stay in the Melchor Rodríguez García de Alcalá de Henares center, in Madrid.

The Case ForA Citrus Squeezer is the Unexpected Gadget Every Kitchen Needs

There’s an unspoken rule in the kitchen world about utensils and gadgets: if it doesn’t serve more than one purpose, it’s not worthy of your drawer space. I abide by this rule for the most part, but there are exceptions. For example, an apple corer is a time-saving game-changer, and I get a lot of use out of my pickle fork, thank you very much.

My most recent addition—a citrus squeezer—is another. The first time I saw one in use by a friend of mine, I had zero clue what it was. It’s a hand-held contraption that has a sort of old-school aesthetic about it. But once said friend grabbed a lime and perfectly juiced it right into his beer, I knew I had to have one myself.

With very little force required on your end, you simply place half a lime or lemon into the squeezer and press. Voila! Your juice has arrived. The way it’s designed gets the majority of the juice out, keeps all the seeds in, and prevents messes. Also, it’s just a simple tool which is nice to have in a world of whizzing, whirring, blending contraptions.

I found my own citrus squeezer on Amazon and pressed buy before said beer was even finished. The Zulay Premium Quality Metal Lemon Lime Squeezer is robust, and I like that it has a colorful coating that makes it easy to rinse in the sink. I went for yellow, but the squeezer also comes in but they also offer red, black, and neon green. Also, if you haven’t noticed, it has two separate compartments to easily fit citrus of differing sizes (looking at you, Key limes).

Since then, I’ve used it when making ceviche, adding a bit of lemony kick to my salads and fish, and, of course, for taco Tuesdays. And now that Dry January is firmly in the rearview mirror, I’m excited to introduce the device to my bar, as well. Homemade cheladas, margaritas, and spritzers, here I come.
