    JACKSON, S.C. (AP) — A man accused of attacking a South Carolina couple inside their home ended up dead after being bludgeoned to the floor by the 82-year-old husband, authorities said Tuesday. The couple told the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office that a man came to their door Monday afternoon and forced his way into the home, attacking them with a knife. The incident report filed by deputies said the assailant cut the 79-year-old wife on her forehead, news outlets reported. The woman’s husband stopped the attack by repeatedly striking the intruder with the butt of a gun, the report said.     FOLSOM (CBS13) — Officers are searching for the suspect after a reported home invasion robbery in Folsom early Thursday morning. Folsom police say, around 1:15 a.m., they got a 911 call from a neighbor reporting an apparent home invasion robbery along the 4700 block of Esplanade Circle. Officers responded and a perimeter was set up in the area. Police say the suspect was never found, though. The perimeter has since been broken down. Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to the 8800 block of Fort Smallwood Road around 7:15 a.m. Thursday for a family disturbance.     ALAMEDA– A 20-year-old man has pleaded not guilty in the armed robbery of two residents inside their home Nov. 4, according to court documents and authorities. The suspect, who lived near the victims’ home, is charged with two counts of first degree residential robbery with special allegations that he was armed with a handgun and that the robberies were committed during a burglary. He faces a mandatory prison sentence if convicted of the charges, and is being held at Santa Rita Jail in lieu of $400,000 bail. He is due in court  Dec. 15 for a preliminary hearing.     LAWTON, Okla. (AP) — Lawton police officers shot and killed a man they say pointed a firearm at them following a home invasion, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported. The OSBI said in a press release the shooting happened early Thursday after the man broke into a woman’s apartment and forced her to remove her clothes. The woman managed to escape the apartment safely, and officers who arrived on the scene encountered the suspect brandishing a gun, the OSBI said.     MODESTO (CBS13) – Three people are in the hospital after a shooting occurred during a home invasion robbery in Modesto on Sunday morning, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff’s office said the robbery happened along Roselle Avenue near Bel Passi Baseball. At least one of the victims was shot and a large amount of marijuana was found at the crime scene, investigators said. Vermond Jones, 21, a reputed San  Francisco gang member, was killed Oct. 1 trying to rob someone near San Francisco’s Union Square, authorities said.     LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A home invasion suspect was stabbed to death on Sunday night in Koreatown, authorities said. An armed intruder tried to break into a penthouse in the 3000 block Wilshire Boulevard around 6 p.m. The resident was shot in the leg and disarmed the suspect before stabbing him to death, according to police. At last check, the resident was being treated at the hospital in stable condition for the gunshot wound. Police said they will remain at the scene overnight as the investigation continues.
    A Wesley Chapel, Florida, homeowner shot and killed two out of three home invasion suspects Friday morning. Fox 35 reports that the homeowner was playing video games when he heard glass breaking just before 1:00 a.m. He retrieved a gun and shot one suspect in a hallway, then fired again when a second suspect allegedly appeared in the hallway with a gun. Sheriff Chris Nocco says the suspect fired his gun, then it jammed. The homeowner shot him. Then a third suspect appeared in the hallway. The homeowner shot the third suspect as well. The homeowner’s gun then jammed and he went to grab another gun. When he returned he saw that the third suspect had gotten up and fled the scene.     According to police, three armed men attempted a home invasion on a self-described gun enthusiast, and only one of the three made it out alive. Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco related what the police believed happened in a video statement on Friday. The incident occurred at a home in Wesley Chapel, Florida, that morning. Nocco said that a homeowner was playing video games by himself when he heard someone break the glass towards the back of his house. The homeowner grabbed a firearm and accosted three intruders in a narrow hallway of his home. He told police that the first intruder was wearing a black mask and dark clothing, and pointing a gun in his direction.     SOUTH PARK (KDKA) – A man was on the run for six months but on Wednesday he was taken into custody. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alphonso Griffin in South Park, he was wanted on three warrants as well as for a home invasion. According to police, he and two others broke into a home in Dormont in December. The homeowner ended up shooting one of the three intruders.
    SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced that they have arrested a man accused of being involved in a home invasion in Dormont. Alphonso Griffin, 29, of South Park Township has been wanted on three warrants since Janaury of this year, according to the sheriff’s office. They allege that Griffin was one of three men to invade a Dormont home on December 22, 2019. The homeowner shot one of the men during the robbery. Griffin has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of burglary, one count of criminal conspiracy and one count of simple assault. Griffin was apprehended without incident by sheriff’s deputies early Wednesday morning. He is at the Allegheny County Jail, where he is awaiting arraignment.
