The Brooklyn Nets exposed the faultlines in the Golden State Warriors defense as they crushed them 134-117. In fact, the Warriors ended up looking like a talentless team in front of their Big Three. Kevin Durant’s return surely affects the Nets’ confidence in a good way, and while most thought this trio will be a disaster, it looks like the three of them have their priorities set straight. After this matchup, Kyrie Irving explained that he has given James Harden the point guard role for a specific reason instead of keeping it for himself. James Harden as the point guard of the Nets In the post-game interview, Kyrie Irving was asked about James Harden‘s passing performance. However, he ended up clearing out who the PG on the team is. “Just staying consistent,” he stated. “I feel like he’s been doing a great job of just managing the point guard role. “We...

Sean McVay-led Los Angeles Rams pulled off a major upset last weekend as they defeated NFC West Champions, Seattle Seahawks, in the Wild Card Playoffs. The Rams put in a major defensive performance to silence Russell Wilson and his two star wide receivers, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. But this week they’ll go up against arguably the best quarterback in the league at the moment, Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers veteran is having a terrific season. He leads the league in passing touchdowns (48) and other categories as well. Besides that, the snowy conditions at Lambeau Field are something that Rodgers has come to thrive in, as per recent results. So what does the Rams defense – who is sweating on the fitness of Aaron Donald – need to do in order to stop the Packers’ offense? Kyle Brandt tells us below. ALSO READ – Everything You Need to...

Not even the San Francisco 49ers are exempt from their home county’s newly implemented quarantine order; barred from playing or practicing in Santa Clara County, they won’t return home for at least three weeks. The new order, which took effect Monday, requires anyone — even county residents — arriving from at least 150 miles away, by any means of travel, to quarantine for 14 days. The county’s means for enforcing it, however, are less clear. What exactly does the order entail, and how does it impact other travel advisories in California? More importantly, what does it mean for you? Sit back, relax and read up; you’re about to have a lot of time on your hands. Quarantine … what does that mean? On this, the county is clear and strict: You must remain “at home or another place of temporary shelter” without any contact with anyone outside of “one’s own...
Members of President Donald Trump's campaign Thursday allegedly were not being permitted to observe ballot counting in the Philadelphia Convention Center despite a court order issued earlier in the day allowing them to do so. What are the details? A Philadelphia court ruled Thursday morning that poll watchers were allowed to be within six feet of ballot counting at the Pennsylvania Convention Center rather than the previous 20-foot perimeter, KYW-TV reported. Pam Bondi and Corey Lewandowski of the Trump Campaign presented the order, which went into effect at 10:30 a.m., the station said, adding that the pair said it allows them access inside and up to six feet of the vote-counters. KYW reported that they then walked inside the convention center. Lewandowski, Bondi, and others head into the Pennsylvania Convention Center. DEAR MISS MANNERS: My mother-in-law isn’t originally from this country, and loves to make chicken soup for me. She is a dear, sweet woman, and I do not want to offend her in any way. However, there is the matter of the ingredients. There is the chicken meat, of course; some celery, just a few tomatoes and lots of noodles that she makes herself. But, to her, it isn’t quite chicken soup without the chicken’s feet. I can get past the gizzard and the heart, since they settle to the bottom of the bowl. But at least one of the feet always ends up in my bowl, and, in case you did not know this, they float. Again, I can still eat the soup. It is always delicious. However, I spend half my time trying to push the foot back to the bottom of the bowl, and the silly thing...
Health officials in Contra Costa County gave the go-ahead Wednesday for some businesses within the county to re-open, even though it remains on the state’s COVID-19 watch list. The new order, which Contra Costa County Health Services officials said goes into effect Friday, will allow nail salons and massage studios to begin operating outdoors. Gyms and fitness centers also will be cleared to resume doing outside business. Health spokesman Karl Fischer said the new order is more of an aligning between the county’s old health order with recent tweaks to the state’s current health order. Under the county’s old order, businesses such as those that will be cleared to operate Friday, had to remain closed even though the met certain state-regulated guidelines, Fischer said. Getty Gov. Evers. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has used his executive order powers to mandate masks or other face coverings statewide in indoor spaces through September 28, 2020. This has created a lot of questions from Wisconsinites who are wondering when you have to wear a mask and when you don’t. According to the Evers’ fact sheet, you need to wear a face covering “whenever you are indoors or in an enclosed space, other than a private residence, and other people are present in the same room or space. For example, you must wear a mask while you are shopping in a store or using a taxi.” You don’t need to wear a mask if you’re at a private residence, outside, or you’re indoors with no one else present. First of all, let’s start with the people who do NOT have to wear a mask. Inmates, people who...
Those who don’t wear a face covering in public will now face citations and fines in Manhattan Beach. The move, authorized under an emergency order that went into effect Wednesday, comes as California continues to see record levels of coronavirus infection and officials stress that residents must do their part to stymie the spread of the virus. “The drastic increase in positive COVID-19 cases in our city and around Los Angeles County have shown us that additional measures must be taken to make it clear to the public that face coverings are essential right now,” Mayor Richard Montgomery said in a statement Thursday. “The time for warnings is over. Face coverings must be worn when you are outside of your home in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.” Under the order, failing to wear a face covering is subject to an administrative citation — with fines of...
Baseball players are creatures of habit, often chained to some superstitions and in-game quirks. They spit, high-five, lick. They get close even if the sport is naturally distanced. When tensions mount, one stink eye or misguided pitch can ignite a brawl. Now, baseball players will have to curb all their habits and quirks and put aside some superstition in the name of health. “Last thing we want to do is be one of the teams that cause a problem and put this thing at risk,” A’s third baseman Matt Chapman said. With a week remaining in camp, how are the A’s managing with the habit kicking? No more finger licking, spitting Frankie Montas felt his throwing hand go up to his lips before his conscious kicked in. “I was like ‘oops!'” Montas said. “I’m trying to remember all the rules.” If you’ve watched...
