    CHICAGO (CBS)– A 23-year-old man is dead after being shot four times while sitting in a car in west Woodlawn. The shooting took place near 61st Street and Saint Lawrence Avenue. Three gunman came up to the vehicle and started shooting. A 24-year-old woman was also in the vehicle at the time. She suffered two graze wounds and is in stable condition. No one is in custody.

According to police, this happened around 11 p.m. along the 1200 block of 56th Street in Kingsessing. Police say a suspect is in custody. The officer was taken to the hospital where there are listed in stable condition. There is no word on what led to the shooting.     A security guard at a Popeyes in Baltimore suffered a graze wound after a suspect opened fire at the restaurant following an argument there, police say.  The incidents unfolded around 9 p.m. Sunday night, and as of Tuesday the shooter has not been identified and no arrests have been made.  Police told WJZ the suspect first got into a dispute with the Popeyes security guard and spit in his face before leaving the area. The cause of the argument is unclear.  The Popeyes restaurant in Baltimore where the incident occurred.     BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police are investigating after a man suffered a graze wound to the eye in a shooting in northeast Baltimore on Tuesday evening. Police were called around 5:45 p.m. to the 5100 block of Plainfield Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the eye. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 4100 block of Eierman Avenue by an unidentified suspect. The victim then traveled to the 5100 block of Plainfield Avenue where police were notified.     A Los Angeles police officer whose hand was wounded during a gun battle inside a Granada Hills supermarket Sunday evening is recovering at home, and the suspect is expected to face criminal charges in connection with the shooting, authorities said Monday. Dozens of shoppers were inside the Ralphs supermarket when a shirtless man standing atop a freezer in one of the aisles began dancing and waving a gun, witnesses said. Video shows officers in plainclothes with bullet-resistant vests and a handheld shield entering the store about 6:30 p.m. after responding to the disturbance call and learning the man was armed.     PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are investigating after an officer shot a dog that reportedly charged at him in Upper Roxborough. Investigators say the officer went to the 7800 block of Nixon Drive Saturday night after someone called in a fire that turned out to be a backyard fire pit. The officer was speaking to the homeowner when police say the homeowner’s dog charged. “ The officer fearing for his safety went backward drew his weapon fired two times and struck the dog in his paw. The 65-year-old homeowner suffered a graze wound to her thigh and a 15-year-old friend who was over the house suffered a graze wound to her head,” Philadelphia Police Sgt. Eric Gripp said. The officer is in stable condition after injuring his knee while backing away from the dog. Both the girl and the woman declined treatment. The dog is the care of a veterinarian.

Around 6:30 a.m., police were called to the 6200 block of North California Avenue for a report that several buildings had been struck by bullets. Among the buildings that was struck was the Chicago Fire Department firehouse at 6239 N. California Ave. No one at the firehouse was injured, but a 27-year-old woman drove herself to Stroger Hospital of Cook County with a graze wound to the head, police said. She told police she was in a vehicle on the block when someone began to shoot, police said. As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests had been made. Area Three detectives were investigating.

    PHILADELPHIA (AP) — More than a dozen shootings in Philadelphia over the weekend left two people dead and numerous others wounded, authorities said, including two children and a pregnant woman. An 11-year-old boy suffered a graze wound to the back Sunday night in a shooting that also left two adults wounded, authorities said. That came a day after another child suffered graze wounds to his head and shoulder when he was truck by a stray bullet. The pregnant woman was shot and wounded around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, when witnesses said several shooters opened fire on a group of people who had gathered at a park for a barbecue.
