For YouTube TV customers who subscribe individually to HBO Max, Showtime, and Starz, the company is rolling out a new entertainment bundle that will save people $5. The optional package is $30 a month. Individually, HBO Max costs $15 a month, Showtime is $11 a month, and Starz is $9 a month, meaning customers who subscribe to all three spend $35 a month through the individual subscription plans. YouTube TV has steadily added more premium channels over the last couple of years, including inking a deal with WarnerMedia for HBO Max in February 2020. While the bundle is an easy way to save $5 a month, YouTube has also gotten increasingly expensive over the last year. In June, YouTube TV increased its monthly price from $50 to $65. The move came after YouTube signed a distribution agreement with ViacomCBS to carry a suite of channels: BET, CMT, Comedy...

After a positive COVID test kept Stephen Fulton out of a title fight against Angelo Leo, they finally meet on Jan. 23 live on Showtime.  Angelo Leo defends his WBO junior featherweight title for the first time ironically against the foe he was supposed to fight for the then-vacant title back in August. Leading up to their Showtime main event, Leo and Fulton have been respectful to one another. During a recent media call, Leo and Fulton both projected confidence and mutual respect. Fulton wasn’t as courteous before their originally scheduled August bout, and Leo hasn’t forgotten that. “It hasn’t been so quiet,” recalled Leo. “Recently, he hasn’t been talking, but when the first fight back in August, he was talking some smack. This last press conference, he was pretty quiet and pretty respectful. He has said that it’s going to be his easiest payday. We’ll just have to see...

(CNN)"The Comey Rule" employs a clunky framing device, turning Rod Rosenstein into the awkward narrator of the story. Brilliant casting from top to bottom, however, elevates this two-part Showtime adaptation of former FBI director James Comey's book, which adopts a sympathetic stance toward the no-win scenario the bureau faced with its twin investigations into presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The centerpiece, of course, resides in the dramatized glimpses of private conversations between Comey (Jeff Daniels, capturing Comey's "boy scout" demeanor, if not matching his stature) and Trump (Brendan Gleeson), who manages to incorporate the president's verbal tics and mannerisms and still create a portrayal that goes beyond parody. Those controversial exchanges, however, wait for night two, as the opening chapter deals with what Comey calls the "500-year flood" of the FBI having to investigate both Clinton and Trump, with an aide presciently telling him, "You know you're screwed, right? I...

The producer of the pro-life film “Gosnell” is raising funds for another project; this time tackling the “Russian Collusion Hoax” that has entangled the FBI and top intelligence and national security officials for years, according to a Thursday press release for the project. Filmmaker and journalist Phelim McAleer, who is a contributor to The Daily Wire, plans to release the movie “Obamagate” in early October. The film project, which is being crowdfunded, will focus on the FBI under former director James Comey, as well as key players in ex-special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian collusion such as former FBI special agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. The October release was picked to counter the narratives of Showtime’s “big budget, pro-Comey mini-series called ‘The Comey Rule’” and Strozk’s upcoming, “self-aggrandising memoir.” “Showtime has created ‘The Comey Rule’ which is based on a political fairytale and a...

“The Comey Rule’s” release date is both unfortunate and hardly accidental. Showtime’s two-part miniseries, starring Jeff Daniels as former FBI Director James Comey, follows his attempts to tie President Donald Trump’s electoral victory to Mother Russia. The miniseries hits the pay channel Sept. 27-28. Creator Billy Ray all but demanded it drop prior to Election Day. Anyone interested in the truth, though, would argue production wrapped long before all the facts emerged. Maybe that was the plan all along. Here’s everything we know about the production, the timing and its intended impact.
