    SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Two Vermont residents were killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 89 in South Burlington. Police said the crashed happened on Saturday morning and killed Theodore Bowen, 32, of Essex Junction, and passenger Mechelle Martin, 45, of Colchester. Police said Bowen was driving north when his car struck a guardrail, veered into a median, rolled over and hit a tree, WCAX-TV reported.     MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An investigation is underway following a fatal crash early Friday morning in south Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Police Department says the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on the 2600 block of Cedar Avenue South, in the city’s Phillips neighborhood. First responders found a driver with serious injuries after his car had slammed into a tree. Emergency crews pulled the man from the vehicle and brought him to Hennepin Healthcare, where he died a short time later. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the crash. Anyone with information on what happened is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave an anonymous tip online.     Legendary golfer Tiger Woods was reportedly not impaired at the time he flipped his vehicle in a single-car crash, after the local authorities were unable to find evidence on-scene. Woods, 45, was involved in a single-car accident on Tuesday morning after he hit the median, crossed multiple lanes of traffic, before hitting the curb, a tree, and ultimately flipping the vehicle multiple times, according to county Sheriff Alex Villanueva.     Tiger Woods was hospitalized Tuesday morning after the PGA star was involved in a serious, single-car crash in Southern California. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said Woods had to be cut free from his vehicle with hydraulic tools after it rolled over near the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Ranchos Palos Verdes at around 7:12 a.m. Woods’ condition was not yet revealed, although some reports indicate the 45-year-old golfer sustained “moderate to serious” injuries. He was the only person in the car, according to the sheriff’s department, which said the accident is currently under investigation.     GALT (CBS13) — A Lathrop man is under arrest after authorities said he crashed a car on Highway 99 while driving under the influence, killing one of his passengers. California Highway Patrol says, Thursday night, a BMW sedan being driven by 28-year-old Jonathan Ratta was speeding up the freeway near central Galt when it began skidding sideways across the road. It was raining heavily at the time, officers say. The car continued on until it went up an embankment and broadsided a large tree on its front passenger door side.     PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Three people are dead following a single car crash in coastal Maine. WABI-TV reports the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday on West Bay Road in Gouldsboro. The driver, 22-year-old Jessob Hayward of Gouldsboro, was killed along with two passengers. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. One of the passengers was identified as 18-year-old Lucas Pottle of Steuben. The other passenger is a minor and has not yet been identified by authorities.     MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Nisswa man died Monday night after losing control of his pickup truck and hitting a tree. According to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Deputies responded to a vehicle off the road near County Road 18 and Wedgewood Road in Lake Edward Township. The sheriff’s office said the 29-year-old driver was going east on County Road 18 when he lost control and hit a tree.     Authorities identified the driver killed during a single-car crash earlier this week. New Jersey State Police confirmed that the driver of a Honda Fit sustained fatal injuries in Gloucester County. The crash occurred at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate-295 southbound in Logan Township, according to Sgt. Lawrence Peele, a state police spokesman. The driver was later identified as Gabriel D. Corino, 20, of Deptford.  Raised in Collingswood, Gabe moved to West Deptford with his family during his freshman year of high school. He was a 2018 graduate of West Deptford High School iwhere he played lacrosse. Corino was a junior at Widener University, in Chester, Pennsylvania, studying Engineering, where he also played lacrosse, according to his obituary.     PALMDALE (CBSLA) — A Palmdale woman’s body was found after a crash on the 14 Freeway on Monday morning. 20-year-old Veronica Garcia was driving southbound on the freeway when her 2017 Infinity Q50 veered off the roadway and overturned, ejecting and killing the woman. The cause of the single-car crash remained under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact California Highway Patrol Officer C. Borne at 661-948-8541.     DARTMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — A 25-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Dartmouth on Saturday, police said. Dartmouth police were called to Old Fall River Road around 11 p.m. on a report of a crash. Alex Paulino, of Fairhaven, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver and another passenger were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.     TOPANGA (CBSLA) — A single-car crash took out a power pole and sparked a small brush fire in Topanga overnight. (@LHSLASD) December 1, 2020 One car appeared to have hit a power pole and its box, which then sparked a fire in two acres of brush along the road. The brush fire was quickly extinguished but power was knocked out to more than 20 SoCal Edison customers in the area. The crash and repair work also shut down Topanga Canyon in both directions. A Sigalert was issued for Topanga Canyon at about 7 a.m. for an unknown duration, so contractors can come to the area to repair the wiring, according to the California Highway Patrol.
    A local woman was killed in a single-car crash in Fairfield County. It happened just after 5 p.m., Nov. 20 in Trumbull. The pedestrian, Lisa Cimmino, age 57, of Trumbull, was walking on Canoe Brook Road near Madison Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle, causing serious life-threatening injuries, Trumbull Police said. A sedan traveling on Canoe Brook Road struck the victim, and immediately came to a stop a short distance away, according to police.  Trumbull Police officers treated the victim at the scene until Trumbull EMS arrived to assist with rendering medical aid to Cimmino.  She was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where she died a short time later from her injuries. The local Trumbull man who was driving was the only occupant of the vehicle and remained on scene to offer his full cooperation with officers during the investigation, said police.     WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — The Rhode Island man was killed Friday night after his car went off a highway and struck several trees, state police said. The crash happened on I-95 in Warwick at around 7:30 p.m. State police said Ravi Rahul, 41, of Exeter, had been driving south on the highway when his 2017 Kia Sportage exited the roadway for an unknown reason and struck several trees. Rahul was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, where he died from his injuries. Police said they’re investigating the crash but said speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors. They're asking anyone with information about the crash to contact their office.     WHITTIER (CBSLA) — Two people were killed Sunday in a car crash that left two others injured in Whittier. The crash unfolded on Deveron Drive and Beverly Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. It was then that authorities say they received a call of the crash. The car was believed to have lost control blocks away before colliding with two parked cars. Investigators said a high rate of speed was possibly a factor in the crash given that the debris field lasted several blocks. Following the crash, one person was ejected from the car, and declared dead at the scene. A second person died inside the vehicle. Two others were taken to the hospital. The identities of the deceased have not been released.
    LYMAN, Maine (AP) — A driver who crashed into a tree died from his injuries a hospital, Maine State Police said Friday. Aaron Mitchell, 36, of Hiram, was driving alone when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a tree late Thursday in Lyman, troopers said. He died later at Maine Medical Center.     HAMMONTON, N.J. (CBS) — New Jersey State Police have identified three teenagers killed in a single-car crash on the Atlantic City Expressway on  Sunday afternoon. The victims were identified as 15-year-old Emmanuel Crawford, of Camden, 16-year-old Marcus Crawford, of Camden, and 19-year-old Maryha Toro, of Philadelphia. Police say the three were passengers in a car that overturned on the expressway, just before 3:15 p.m. Sunday. Investigators say after overturning, the car rolled into a wooded area. The driver, 19-year-old Nijul Crawford of Philadelphia, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A witness reached out to Eyewitness News and said she was right behind the car when it rolled over and veered off the road. She says other family members were traveling in another vehicle nearby and also witnessed the horrific crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

    Two 16-year-olds were killed and three other teens were seriously injured during a fiery single-vehicle crash. It happened in Litchfield County around 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, on Rossie Road near the border of the town of Litchfield and town of Torrington, according to multiple sources. The teens killed were identified by multiple sources as two 16-year-old Litchfield High School students, Thomas Graveline, of Litchfield and Matthew Rousseau, of Northfield.
