Travelers whose applications are accepted could stay on Anguilla for up to a year and work remotely from the warm-weather destination. The 35-square-mile island was named Travel + Leisure's best island for 2020 across the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Bermuda, four years in a row.     Tropical Storm Isaias officially formed late Wednesday drenching the south of Puerto Rico with heavy rains as it spirals towards Hispaniola with a threat of flooding and landslides.   The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said the storm was expected to cross the Dominican Republican and Haiti, which share Hispaniola, by early Thursday and the southeastern Bahamas by early Friday.     (CNN)A Virginia couple is suing Royal Caribbean Cruises and an excursion company after they sustained severe burns during a visit to the White Island volcano in New Zealand, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in US District Court in Miami.The volcano erupted on December 9, 2019, while 47 people were visiting the island. Twenty-one people were killed. Others suffered severe injuries.Matthew Urey and Lauren Barham went to the White Island volcano on their honeymoon.The couple, Matthew Urey and Lauren Barham, who were on their honeymoon, sustained burns to 54% and 23% of their bodies respectively, according to the lawsuit.The lawsuit alleges the cruise line and the excursion company, ID Tours New Zealand Limited, were negligent in not informing them about...
    HAVANA, CUBA - A massive cloud of Saharan dust darkened much of Cuba on Wednesday and began to affect air quality in Florida, sparking warnings to people with respiratory illnesses to stay home. The dust cloud swept across the Atlantic from Africa over the past week, covering the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico since Sunday and hitting south Florida in the United States on Wednesday, authorities there said. Conditions over the Cuban capital, Havana, are expected to worsen on Thursday, specialists on the Communist-run island reported.
